Tapestry Material & Printing Process

Every fabric tapestry is printed using dye-sublimation, a process that infuses ink directly into the polyester fibers rather than sitting on the surface, giving you fully saturated, photo-quality color that resists fading and scratching far longer than surface-printed fabric.

Sizes & Custom Orientation

Order your custom tapestry from 1' x 1' up to 9' x 30', in either Landscape (horizontal: H x W) or Portrait (vertical: W x H) orientation. Optional pole pockets can be added to the top, bottom, both sides, or top & bottom.

Need a size that isn't listed? Select the closest option and note your exact dimensions in the design instructions, we'll cut it to your spec.

Sizing tolerance: finished dimensions may vary by up to 1" on small format tapestries, or up to 10% on large format tapestries. Grommets are placed 1.5" from the fabric's cut edge; keep essential text and logos at least 2" inside the edge (the safe zone) so nothing is trimmed or obscured by a grommet.

Finishing & Add-Ons

• Sewn Hems & Grommets: Standard finishing on every tapestry, spaced every few feet for secure hanging.
• Pole Pockets (optional): 3" flat pockets sized for a 1" diameter pole, priced per pocket count; contact us for current pricing. Alternate sizes can be requested in the design instructions.
• Double-Sided (optional): Two dyed fabric panels sewn together for a clean finish on both sides.
• Pantone Color Match (optional): Recommended since dye-sublimation results can vary slightly proof to proof; contact us for current per-color pricing. Note your Pantone number in the design instructions.

Care & Storage

Fabric tapestries are folded for shipping, so some creasing is normal; it typically works itself out within one to three days of hanging, and can be sped up with light steaming or low-heat ironing. We don't recommend washing your tapestry, since it can darken the ink. If needed, hand or machine wash gently in cold water with a small amount of mild detergent, and hang to dry indoors.

Can I get a double-sided tapestry?

Yes. We sew two individually dyed fabric panels back-to-back so both sides display cleanly, with no mirrored or faded image.

Can a fabric tapestry be used outdoors?

It can be used outdoors occasionally, but we don't recommend it for harsh weather or extended exposure, the fabric resists scratching but not tearing. For long-term outdoor use, our vinyl or mesh banners are a better fit.

Do you offer tapestries larger than the standard size chart?

Our standard sizes run up to 9' x 30'. If you need something larger, give us a call and we'll quote a custom size.

How should I hang my tapestry?

Most customers hang tapestries with the included grommets or optional pole pockets. We don't recommend puncturing your own holes, since this weakens the fabric.
